Newspaper Website Codes & Conventions

I have looked at a range of Broadsheet newspaper websites as my focus group shows that 7 out of 10 of my focus group read Broadsheet newspapers.

The websites I have looked at include :
The Metro
Kent Online( KM Extra)
Kent News

Whilst looking at the websites I had found that most of them contained similarities in the way of content and also the layout. All three websites show that they are updated every day, all day and feature the latest news out at that time.

The use of the gridded layout on all three websites allow users to find what content they would like and the stories that they are interested in. Each website has a search box which means that users can search for news stories or information if it is not clearly displayed on the front page of the website.
